Drill Baby Drill!: Keystone Cops Part 3
“Gasoline prices are on the rise and Republicans are licking their chops.” Are the Republicans licking their chops? Let’s see who really is.
I see the vultures circling.

The Democrats know what needs to be done. Again; we're working to try to push this agenda forward. The other day, the oil companies reported the highest profits in the history of the world. I want to take those profits...
Steven Chu said, “we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.” and then Obama appointed him Energy secretary.
If you put someone in charge of energy who said that he wants energy prices to rise; when those prices rise; how can you say that your opposition is licking their chops?
$12/gallon? Isn’t that too much? How will we handle that?
But it still costs $50 to fill my Chevy Voltswagon™.
Oh, a gradual adjustment.
Even with a gradual rise in prices; $12/gallon still sounds too expensive. What’s wrong with building the Keystone XL Pipeline? What’s wrong with drill baby drill? Why can’t we drill in ANWR, the California coast, and the Gulf of Mexico?
“The American People aren’t stupid. They know that’s not a plan…That’s a bumper sticker.
That’s not a strategy to solve our energy challenge…You know there are no quick fixes to this problem. You know we can’t just drill our way to lower gas prices.” – Barack Obama
So, Mr. President; what’s the plan?
Algae? Will it work?
I want to help too, Mr. President. Here’s an energy source you may have overlooked: Human body fat.
“According to a much-quoted 2009 press briefing from the Centers for Disease Control, American adults collectively are hauling around at least 4.6 billion extra pounds of fat. That’s the equivalent of four trillion BTUs of energy — an impressive number, but what does it mean in practical terms? The following may give a sense. The same amount of energy would be contained in:
700,000 barrels of crude oil, or
35 million gallons of gasoline, or
nearly 15 freight trains loaded with coal.” – The Straight Dope
From where are we going to get our energy; unicorn dreams, children’s laughter, fairy dust? Just don’t make me do this:

It is green
